How to edit customer’s details in my store?

Well, customer can register himself/herself directly by using the Customer Registration form available on the website. Also, in case of any updates related to address, account, order history, etc. Either customers can update the details by simply log-in into their account or you can update the information from the back-end by using “Manage Customers” section.

Steps to be follow to Manage customers…

  • Click on Customers>Manage Customers.

Under Manage Customers, you can do some quick updates which are below:

  • Status- Enable/Disable the status of customer by turning ON/OFF
  • Login into Store- You can use Login into Store field in case you want to login into the store by using customer’s account to make some updates, without knowing the password of the customer. If you want to perform this function, select Default option for the respective customer. As you select default, it will open customer’s account in new tab.

  • Action- By using this field you can edit/view the customer details such as address, transactions details, reward points earned, I.P. address, etc. Click on edit button in front of the respective customer name you want to edit/view.

Action includes 4 tabs, which are explained below:

  1. General: This section helps you in managing the customer’s general details such as Name, Email, Mobile, Address, Customer group & status of the customer. Edit the fields as required and click on Save button to apply the changes below the edited section.

In case you want to add new address of the customer, then click on Add icon, fill the details and click on Save button to apply changes.

  1. Transaction: This section displays the transaction summary of the customer. In case you want to add some transaction then simply define the description and amount to add transaction in the summary.

Note- Please use minus (-) sign to deduct the amount and in case of addition simply type the amount and description only.

  1. Reward Points: You can manage reward points of the customer by using this section. Simply type the description and points and click on Add Reward Points

  1. IP Addresses: You can view the IP addresses of that customer, which he used to make transaction on the website. If you click on a particular IP address, it will redirect you to the geoiptool, which displays the information of that IP.

In case, you want to blacklist an IP address then simply click on Add Blacklist button in front of the respective IP.
